St Kilda spearhead Max King is set to be ruled out of season 2025 after multiple delays with his troublesome knee.
King hasn't played a game this year, and was last seen in Round 16 against Port Adelaide nearly 12 months ago.
The 24-year-old hasn't played more than a dozen games since his breakout season of 2022, when he kicked 52 goals as the Saints made the finals.
The persistent knee issues have reportedly reared their ugly head once again, with Channel 9's Tom Morris revealing that King is set for more surgery, which will ultimately sideline him for the remainder of the year.
"Max King is done for the season," Morris said.
"He spent a matter of hours in Adelaide (Wednesday) seeing a specialist for his troublesome knee. He's sort further advice back (in Melbourne), which requires further surgery in the coming weeks.

"On one hand, it's clearly disappointing for Max and the Saints. But the other, there's a level of optimism now, that's because they believe they're finally getting to the bottom of his knee injury."
King is still contracted until the end of 2032 after signing an extension in October last year.
