St Kilda are looming as the club most likely to land Ben King should he decide to depart the Suns.

King is currently contracted until the end of 2024, however, speculation has already begun about a possible move back home to Victoria once his Gold Coast deal expires.

Ben King's twin brother, Max King, currently plays at St Kilda.

Speaking on Triple M, reporter Tom Browne revealed new details in the chase for King, after he had previously reported on that Essendon, Collingwood, Melbourne and St Kilda were all after the key forward.

"King is more likely to stay at the Gold Coast or play with his brother Max," Browne told Triple M on recent links between King and Collingwood.

"I would've thought Collingwood are outsiders in that regard at this stage, I wouldn't discount them but I think that's King's preference at the moment

"The obvious question becomes could Max move to the Gold Coast? I guess he could but I'd have to say that's unlikely.

"It looks to me like it's the Gold Coast or St Kilda, having said that, it's early days."

Max and Ben King were both taken as top 10 draft picks at pick No.4 and No.6 respectively in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft.

Whilst Max King is yet to play this season, he has booted 112 goals from 60 games as a forward at St Kilda, being the club's leading goalkicker in 2021 and 2022.

Ben King made a long-awaited return for the Suns from an ACL injury this season, having been sorely missed by the Suns in the 2022 season. King has kicked 96 goals from 58 games, including a career-best 47 goals in 2021 to finish seventh in the Coleman Medal count.
