St Kilda has confirmed that their head of performance and conditioning Nick Walsh has departed the club after three seasons.

Walsh, a former AFL and Gaelic footballer, has been in charge of the Saints' strength and conditioning team since the 2021 pre-season.

The former Demon previously held coaching and conditioning roles at GWS during an eight-year tenure.

St Kilda acting general manager David Misson acknowledged that Walsh was ready to move on from his role.

"Nick indicated to us this week that he wanted to take a break from his role at the Club and look to what's next in his professional career. We fully support his decision to do so and wish him all the very best," Mission stated.

"On behalf of everyone at the Saints, I want to thank Nick for his tireless work across the football program since joining, including his work in setting up our fitness program for this current season.

"Nick has brought a high level of professionalism and dedication to the role which has seen him win great respect with staff and players."

The Saints currently sit third on the ladder in a breakout season under coach Ross Lyon.
