The Dockers are calling for an end to grand final replays, arguing it gives Victorian teams an unfair advantage.
Fremantle chief executive Steve Rosich said teams from outside Victoria are at a disadvantage if playing against a Melbourne-based club, as they are forced to travel to Melbourne again for the second grand final replay.
Rosich also said that he the league decided to move the time slot of the game, it must put an end to grand final replays.
โIt is our strong view that the AFL should move to doing away with the replay and deciding the winner on Grand Final day via extra-time, should there be a draw,โโ Rosich said.
โI think philosophically it should ultimately be decided at that game, and secondly there is a clear disadvantage to any team that has to travel in consecutive weeks interstate.
โThis would become even more important if the Grand Final was played at a later time in the day than 2.30pm, because of the travel requirements for WA teams.โโ
"It is clear that the AFL are warming to the idea as well," Rosich added.

The Dockers won’t make a Grand Final while they still have that coach, so why are they worrying about something that will never effect them.
A Grand Final Replay happens how often?
Rarely and clearly not every year so it would be an out of the ordinary occurrence!
Who can remember the last person to get between the AFL and an unexpected windfall of extra money and come out the other side looking and feeling better?
I can’t see the AFL forgoing these $ anytime soon.
