St Kilda star Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera is a chance to return for the Saints' clash with Sydney on Sunday.

The midfielder has missed the last four games with a calf complaint, with the Saints going 1-3 during that time, including an ugly loss to Hawthorn last Thursday night.

Mitch Owens and Liam Ryan are also a chance to return from their own calf injuries, added much needed attacking reinforcements after St Kilda was kept goalless in the opening half in Round 12.

Meanwhile, Melbourne veteran Jack Viney's return to play is set to be delayed by a back complaint.

Viney has not played any footy so far in 2026 as he works through rehabilitation for an Achilles injury suffered in pre-season, with his return to play listed as to be confirmed.

“Jack has been working incredibly hard with our high performance and medical team to return from his Achilles surgery that he had earlier this year,” Griffith said.

“Unfortunately, while working through his rehab from that surgery, Jack has also had a lower back concern, which is something that he's managed over the last couple of seasons.

“As a result of that lower back pain, he's been progressing slower through his post-surgery rehab program.”

It follows a back flare-up in summer, which puts a cloud over his involvement this season.

Meanwhile, his Demons teammates Latrelle Pickett (cork), Changkuoth (knee) Jiath and Jake Lever (concussion) are all tests to play in Round 13.

Richmond could regain as many as four players after its AFL bye, with skipper Toby Nankervis, second year player Taj Hotton, Tom Brown and Zane Peucker all tests to return.

Important midfielder Jack Ross and backup ruck Samson Ryan, however, both presented with concussion symptoms following the weekend so will be unavailable selection, alongside the suspended Hugo Ralphsmith.

Hawthorn's Tom Barrass is a chance to return in Round 13, set to undergo a fitness test later in the week.

"Tom's returned to full training. We have another main session on Wednesday this week as well, which he'll participate in, and then we have team selection. But given that full week of training and if all's going well, he would be available for this week,” Hawthorn high performance manager Peter Burge said.

Conor Nash is also a test to play after being a late withdrawal with neck pain in Round 12.

Adelaide utility Isaac Cumming and GWS veteran Stephen Coniglio are set for a stint in the sidelines due to hamstring injuries, with the latter's return date set for three weeks.

Sydney's Justin McInerney is a test to play after an ankle sprain truncated his game against Richmond.
