A week where the stars largely played a backseat role and the bit-part players stepped up and took their chances.

Geelong's defence shut down Charlie Dixon to see Harry Taylor and Tom Stewart book-end the defensive posts.

Jack Lukosius was simply brilliant for the Suns on Monday night and nearly led his side past the Tigers. He locked away a spot in the back pocket.

Tom Hawkins and Aaron Naughton dominated up forward and take the they key posts up forward. Hawkins was as dominant as we have seen a forward all year.

Marcus Bontempelli dominated the Crows and earns his spot in the midfield. He is supported by teammates Tim English and Bailey Smith in the engine room.

Jack Newnes sneaks in because... well of course he does!
