Adelaide are in the box seat secure GWS young gun Jackson Hately, according to The Herald Sun.

After missing out on Tigers midfielder Jack Graham, the Crows look set to trade for Hately, who is out of contract at the Giants.

GWS are optimistic about keeping him but the hometown links to South Australia and desire for more senior opportunities will make it hard to convince him to stay.

Should Crows star Brad Crouch choose to leave, Hately will add immediate midfield support and depth to the club.

Since being drafted with Pick 14 by the Giants in the 2018 AFL Draft, the 19-year-old has played 13 games in two years.

Hatley averaged 13.7 disposals and 4.7 marks from six games in 2020.
