The traditional Anzac Day blockbuster clash between Collingwood and Essendon is set to be shifted to a twilight slot for the first time.

Michael Gleeson of The Age has reported the game will be played on Saturday the 25th of April at 4.20pm and will be a standalone game.

However, Triple M's Tom Browne revealed on The Hot Breakfast this morning that it won't be the only game on the day, with three games set to feature.

Browne reported that West Coast will play Hawthorn in Tasmania as well as a game "presumably" in Adelaide and Perth on the Saturday night.

The twilight fixture for the arch rivals may be a positive step in the direction of a potential twilight Grand Final.

Additionally, SEN revealed that Essendon have lost their spot in the emerging Good Friday fixture, as North Melbourne will now play the Bulldogs on that afternoon.

The RSL have reportedly ticked off the changed time slot for the Anzac Day match.
