St Kilda goalsneak Jade Gresham is set to receive a contract extension that'll make him one of the highest earners at the club, according to a report by the Herald Sun's Jon Ralph

Gresham enjoyed the added midfield minutes he received last season, shown in his fourth-place finish in St Kilda's best and fairest.

The 21-year-old has offered plenty of excitement for Saints fans, kicking 65 goals across the past two seasons.

Gresham, along with several players, is a player the club will look to lock away as they continue their re-build with Alan Richardson still at the realm.

The durability of the small forward would have added more dollars on his potential contract, but the club still has a number of core and young players to lock away throughout this season.

Early draft pick Jack Billings is still yet to reveal his full potential, while players such as Ben Long, Rowan Marshall, Jack Sinclair and Luke Dunstan will also be keen to put pen to paper and limit any free agent talks.

A number of experienced players, including Nathan Brown, Jack Newnes and David Armitage will also fall out of contract in 2018.

The club, who finished 16th last year, will be looking to sign as many players as possible during what remains a tough period for Saints fans.
