Melbourne is interested in former Essendon forward Mitch Brown, who was delisted by the Bombers late last month.

Brown featured in 16 games for Essendon in 2019 and booted 21 goals, although it wasn't enough for him to earn another contract, with Essendon telling the forward he wasn't required for 2020.

According to The Age, Melbourne is considering weighing up an offer for the 29-year-old.

The Demons are also looking at fellow delisted free agents Harley Bennell and Sam Murray.

Brown's 21 goals in 2019 would have seen him finish equal-second in Melbourne's goalkicking list for the season, with Christian Petracca booting a team-high 22 goals in the season gone by.

Jayden Hunt had 21 goals, with the forward making the move up the ground this past season.

With Tom McDonald kicking 18 goals from 15 games last season, the Demons will be out to find another 20-30 goal forward.

Brown has kicked at least 18 goals in three of his four seasons at Essendon, and booted a total of 59 goals from 55 games.
