When Jamie Elliott gets the ball inside 50 late in a close game, you can just about put a goal in the book.

Collingwood has been the indisputable king of the close finish since Craig McRae took the helm in 2022 and Jamie Elliott has been the poster-boy of the trademark moments.

For a generation he has delivered a burgeoning package of memorable moments, standing up when it matters most.

Kicked the first goal in the last quarter of the late season clash, trapping Jack Viney in a holding the ball tackle. His ensuing goal trimmed the margin to a point and laid the foundation for a trademark Pies finish. Laid an inside 50 tackle later in the quarter which led to a goal and he had several involvements in the last two minutes which allowed the Magpies to get stoppage after stoppage in their forward 50 and deny the Dees an opportunity to steal it late.
