A performance that solidified the Tiger midfielder as arguably the best finals player in the history of the game with his third Norm Smith medal. The Grand Final itself may not have been up to the same level of spectacle as others, but Martin brought the spectacle himself with four goals, 21 disposals and nine score involvements.
His freakish fend-off and snap to bring the Tigers within three goals before the half was just the start. His goal 50-out off a tackle break in the final 10-minutes was the end for the Cats.
