Tigers utility Jayden Short is expected to return from a calf injury for Monday's Anzac Day Eve fixture against Melbourne.

The 27-year-old will need to complete training this week with teams to be announced after Richmond's main training session on Saturday.

Short has played two games in 2023, averaging 15 kicks and playing a midfield and forward role for his side.

After finishing Round 2 with 20 disposals and a goal against Adelaide, Short was sidelined due to a niggling calf issue.

The 2020 Jack Dyer medallist has previously been utilised as a half-back, but is being tested in multiple roles this season.

The premiership player would be a welcome boost for Richmond, who are coming off losses to the Western Bulldogs and Sydney.
