Port Adelaide have put their supporters' minds to rest, as they've declared gun forward Orazio Fantasia fit to continue playing in this finals series.

Fantasia was electric in his Port finals debut, booting four majors before a knock to his left knee quickly saw him subbed out of the game in the last term.

The incident cast doubt over Fantasia’s immediate future, given he had a minor procedure on the same knee earlier in the year after the Power’s Round 11 victory over Fremantle, which forced him to miss nine rounds of action.

Conversely, this doesn't even take into account Fantasia’s history of soft tissue injuries, which plagued his time with Essendon.

Despite the obvious concerns around the impactful goal kicker, Port’s football manager Chris Davies remains adamant that Fantasia will have sufficient time to recover prior to the Power’s Preliminary Final clash next Saturday.

“Raz, we are confident is going to play," Davies stated when addressing the media on Monday.

"We won't bother with scans in the short-term, rest over the next two or three days ... we expect him to be available.

"We are getting closer to feeling like we know what our best 23 is."

The 25 year-old has been a welcome addition to the Power since arriving from the Bombers last off-season. He has managed to boot 28 goals from his 14 games this season, averaging an impressive two goals, 6.3 score involvements, 3.4 inside 50’s and 281.9 meters gained per game.

The Power are also tipped to welcome the return of young forward Mitch Georgiades from a hamstring injury sustained in Port Adelaide's Round 23 win over the Bulldogs.

Port Adelaide are set to take on the winner of the Brisbane and Western Bulldogs semi final on September 11th at the Adelaide Oval.
