North Melbourne midfielder Tarryn Thomas is reportedly under police investigation amid allegations of "malicious" and "intimidatory" behaviour towards a former ex-partner.

The 22-year-old is said to have been accused of several instances of worrying behaviour following a dispute with an ex-partner, including alleged behaviour on social media regarding his ex-girlfriend's personal photos and videos, according to The Herald Sun.

The AFL Integrity Unit is understood to be aware of the issue.

“The club is aware of a current police investigation involving a player," a North Melbourne spokesperson told News Corp.

"The player is co-operating with police and the club has reported the matter to the AFL's Integrity Unit.”

The Herald Sun has also reported that Thomas' car was confiscated in July this year after he was allegedly caught driving without a registered license.

The Roos young gun is alleged to have been stopped at a booze bus in Melbourne's west before having his Mercedes-Benz confiscated. The car was confiscated for 30 days, while a fine nearing $900 was handed down.

Thomas is not scheduled to return to Arden Street for pre-season until early December.
