AFL Academy member Koby Lecras is set to be sidelined for at least 10 weeks with a partial ACL tear.

A timeline for Lecras' return is set to become clearer later this week, but he will not feature at the Under-18s National Championships for Western Australia.

He sustained the injury late in his league debut last weekend, where he finished with six disposals playing in the forward line.

Viewed as a first round prospect, Lecras starred in the second AFL Academy game, finishing with 17 disposals and three goals, impressing with his aerial ability and running power.

The winger/half forward is the nephew of West Coast great Mark and North Melbourne four-gamer Brent Lecras.

Axel Walsh, a prime Tasmania target in the 2027 draft, played his first game back from his own knee injury in a Western Australia trial game, finishing with 13 disposals and seven hitouts.

Meanwhile, West Coast Next Generation Academy member Garrison Kenh did not take part in the second half of the same game due to hamstring soreness.

The flashy half-back is set to miss this weekend's trial game as the state takes the cautious route, before returning the following week.

George Gale and Harvey Spawton-Guy were among the standouts, with Gale finishing with 36 disposals and Spawton-Guy kicking 2.4.

Lecras' injury follows Zero Hanger reporting last week that fellow AFL Academy member Darcy Szerszyn is targeting a late May return from his shoulder injury.
