Injury-plagued North Melbourne midfielder George Wardlaw is set to undergo scans on his troublesome hamstring on Saturday.
The young Kangaroo left match simulation early on Friday with a hamstring injury, but the club is hopeful the setback is on the minor end.
The club's Round 1 match is just 37 days away, so a setback of any kind would significantly inhibit his ability to be primed for the first game of the season against Port Adelaide.
The powerful midfielder has a history of soft-tissue injuries, playing just 13 games last year and 39 across his three seasons on North Melbourne's list.
He did not feature until Round 6 in 2025 due to a serious hamstring setback, while he has also battled concussion during his time at the top level.
