This week on The Hitout AFL Podcast, the boys named who their No.1 selections would be for the All-Australian backline, midfield and forward line, as well as the player they believe nobody else would have in their team.
As part of the latter discussion, Zero Hanger reporter Aidan Cellini flagged Sydney midfielder-forward Justin McInerney as a player worthy of a spot in the All-Australian team given his form across the first 10 rounds of the season.
"I'm not saying he's gotten better than Chad Warner, but he's playing at that level," Aidan said.
"His year-to-date has been super."
Host Phoenix Trinidad raised Melbourne defender Daniel Turner as one who is flying under the radar, while Mitch Keating threw Suns backman Bodhi Uwland's name into the mix.
Phoenix: "'Disco' has been really good this year."
Mitch: "I'd have a guy who is fighting for a similar spot. Bodhi Uwland.
"He's having a great year. Because he's playing up on the Gold Coast, nobody is talking about it. As both an intercepting and lockdown defender, is a good bal runner out of the backline, good kick.
"He should be in the All-Australian backline right now."
The current player who could take the games record off Scott Pendlebury and Essendon's big list management mistake were also discussed in this week's episode.
