Hawthorn's Josh Weddle has been handed a three-match ban by the match review officer for his bump on Gold Coast's Daniel Rioli.
The incident occurred in the second quarter when Weddle elected to bump Rioli, resulting in a fractured jaw for the Sun and Rioli missing the remainder of the match.
Weddle's actions were graded as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, which led to the three-game ban.
Gold Coast winger Sam Clohesy has been given a two-match ban for his tackle on Hawthorn's Cam Nairn.
Clohesy laid the dumping tackle in the second quarter of the game, and while Nairn was cleared in his head assessment, the incident was graded as careless conduct, high impact and high contact; resulting in the two-match ban.
Both clubs will have an opportunity to appeal the decision with the AFL Tribunal this week if they see fit.
Hawthorn half-forward Jack Ginnivan has escaped a suspension for his repeated jumper punches on Gold Coast's Zeke Uwland.
While the AFL has cracked down on gut punches so far in 2026, the MRO decided against suspending Ginnivan for his jumper punch, instead handing the 23-year-old a $1500 fine that can be lowered to $1000 with an early plea.
