Hawthorn utility Josh Weddle will be sweating on the match review officer's findings from Friday night's game as he faces a lengthy stint on the sidelines.
Weddle elected to bump Gold Coast's Daniel Rioli and made contact with the head, fracturing Rioli's jaw and ruling him out for the rest of the match.
The 22-year-old now faces a nervous wait for the MRO's decision later today as he could be handed up to a three-match suspension.
A tackle by Gold Coast's Sam Clohesy will also come under MRO scrutiny after he dumped Hawthorn youngster Cam Nairn in a tackle. Nairn was taken off for a head assessment and passed, possibly helping Clohesy's case.
The contest between Gold Coast and Hawthorn was a fiery one, and pantomime villain Jack Ginnivan was in the thick of it throughout.
The talented half-forward will be looked at by the MRO after he repeatedly jumper punched Gold Coast player Zeke Uwland, making contact with the first year player's jaw.
Ginnivan's actions could see him be suspended for one week as the AFL looks to crack down on such incidents.
MRO Michael Christian will release his findings from Friday night's match on Saturday afternoon.
