Collingwood midfielder Taylor Adams is dealing with yet another injury concern, as he was spotted in a moon boot at a recent training session.

The tough midfielder underwent a shaky 2019 campaign, restricted to just 12 of Collingwood's 24 matches after suffering three separate setbacks.

The extent of Adams' current foot injury is unclear, but Pies football boss Geoff Walsh told AFL.com.au the club wouldn't provide running commentary on any individuals unless they endured a serious injury.

It adds to frustration for Adams, who was ready for a career-best season after placing second in the 2018 Norm Smith count. Early on, it was a finger tendon issue which sidelined him for the first two rounds, before a groin injury cost him 10 games in total.

Adams is a member of the leadership group and primed to lead the team following current club captain Scott Pendlebury. The midfielder expressed disappointment at being forced to watch his teammates train over the Christmas period.

"I'm a shocking rehabber. I just get frustrated and feel like I'm missing out on a lot. I love training. It is tough ... Sometimes you just get unlucky," he told SEN.
