Geelong have confirmed that Mitch Duncan has suffered a low grade hamstring injury, expecting the Cat to be sidelined for the short term.
The Cats confirmed that Duncan had suffered the hamstring earlier in the week at training and wouldn't feature in Round 10's clash against Fremantle, but didn't provide a return date for the veteran.
Duncan has played six games so far this season, averaging 20.3 disposals and seven marks per game.
The 31-year-old was one of three forced changes through injury for Geelong for this weekend's clash, with Ollie Henry (testicle) and Jhye Clark (foot) ruled out, while Oliver Dempsey has been omitted.
Elsewhere at the Cats, Jack Bowes (calf), Gary Rohan (hamstring) and Rhys Stanley (eye socket) all remain on the short term injury list.
Jack Henry, Brad Close and Tyson Stengle have rejoined the side for their trip to Western Australia, set to take on Fremantle at Optus Stadium at 4:45pm AEST on Saturday afternoon.
