New Melbourne forward Brody Mihocek says his role at the club will be to "take the pressure off the younger boys".
Mihocek was traded from Collingwood on Friday, along with Pick 71, while the Pies landed Pick 61 and the Demons' 2026 third-round selection.
The Tasmanian product is renowned for crashing packs and playing a selfless role, which will suit Steven King's key forward contingent.
The Demons have Jacob van Rooyen, Matthew Jefferson, Luker Kentfield and Aidan Johnson, as well as former St Kilda tall Max Heath, who are all inexperienced from an AFL sense.

Previous coach Simon Goodwin also used the likes of Harrison Petty and Daniel Turner, who were switched to defence after stints up forward.
But the Mihocek acquisition should bolster Melbourne's front half, especially given his desire to take on more leadership responsibilities.
"I just want to be a mature head down there, I think my role is to take pressure off the younger boys," Mihocek said to Melbourne Media.
"I know as a forward, it can be tough at times, and it does mess with your mind as a forward not being able to have an impact in the game.
"So hopefully, I can do my part and also help others get the ball themselves."
The 32-year-old signed a two-year deal with his new club, but admitted he found it difficult to leave the Pies, who gave him a chance as a rookie ahead of the 2018 season.
After a relatively down year personally, Mihocek believes he has plenty left to give.

"I didn't want to go to a club and just play out the rest of my career; I want to make an impact straight away," Mihocek said.
"I know myself, and there's still a lot of good footy left in me. I figure out new things about my body every year and what it's capable of, so I'm excited to get in on day one and get fitter and stronger than I ever have been."
The thought of facing his former side did cross his mind, and there aren't many bigger days than the King's Birthday clash.
"I'll still get to play in big games at the Dees," Mihocek said.
"King's birthday is going to be an interesting one. I'll be nervous, but I've still got a lot of good friends at the Pies."
