St Kilda's Alix Tauru has been referred directly to the VFL Tribunal after another instance of rough conduct committed on Sunday. It means he is staring at a ban of at least three matches.

Tauru's ugly bump, committed against Footscray's Stirling Phipps-Parsons was deemed careless conduct, high contact and severe impact. Phipps-Parsons, who splits time between the Dogs and Old Xavier in the VAFA, failed to return to the field of play in the wake of the illegal collision fashioned by Tauru.

Zero Hanger understands the 23-year-old Phipps-Parsons failed a concussion test and had his shoulder assessed for damage, too.

Under VFL protocols, he is required to miss 21 days of footballing activities, ruling him out of contention for Footscray's next three matches.

This latest charge adds to a litany of ugly moments already populating the highly-touted, top 10 draft pick Tauru's rap sheet.

In April last year, the VFL Match Review Panel handed "The Flying Viking" a four-match suspension for rough conduct against Brisbane's Curtis McCarthy in an incident that also caused a concussion.

Mere weeks ago, Tauru's conduct yielded two charges in the same match. He was handed a one-match ban for rough conduct, and a further two matches and a fine for striking Sandringham's Jhett Haeata, after the final siren.
