Brisbane defender Daniel McStay has been withdrawn from the Lions' side that will face West Coast on Sunday at Domain Stadium.

McStay suffered a should injury during last weekend's win over Carlton, and failed to prove his fitness ahead of this Sunday's match, and has been replaced in the side by Sam Skinner, who will make his long-awaited debut.

Skinner, who was taken with pick 47 in the 2015 National Draft, was selected to play his first match for the Lions in round 19 last season, before rupturing his ACL in the final training session before his debut.

The 20-year-old has played seven matches in the NEAFL since his injury, and recently booted two goals in the Lions' win over Redland.

As the match is on Sunday, Rohan Bewick has been added to the club's 25-man squad, with the Lions set to finalise their 22-man team by 5pm on Friday night.
