Herald Sun journalists Michael Warner, Sam Landsberger and Jon Ralph have gathered for their weekly SuperFooty Podcast, with the trio taking a look at the updated contract news surrounding some of the game's biggest stars.

The journalists gave updates on players including Gold Coast co-captain Tom Lynch, Adelaide stars Rory Sloane and Tom Lynch, and also West Coast pair Jeremy McGovern and Andrew Gaff.

Here are the main takeaways from the podcast.

Tom Lynch (Gold Coast)

“I reckon the Tigers are in this up to their eyeballs,” Landsberger said on the SuperFooty Podcast.

“They’ve got the money for him and he’d be a perfect fit on every level. I think he’s a massive chance to be in yellow and black next year.”

Rory Sloane (Adelaide)

"My bloke in Adelaide said they would be absolutely flabbergasted if he left," Ralph said.

"He's always waited until July to do his deal, so that's what they think."

Tom Lynch (Adelaide)

"My understanding is that he wants a bit more money, they've offered him $550k-600k, and he wants maybe $700k," Ralph said.

"I don't think he'll leave, I just think it'll drag on."

Jeremy McGovern (West Coast)

"I think other clubs think (his management) is bluffing at the minute, trying to get that price up" Landsberger said.

"Freo are sitting back and watching, they had a big go at Mitch McGovern last year - they thought they had him at one stage - I think they'll come again for Mitch and go at Jeremy, but probably bluffing at this stage."

Andrew Gaff (West Coast)

"I think that's up in the air," Landsberger said.

"Watching Essendon today, he'd be a good fit there."
