During the AFL's upcoming AGM in March, the league will announce eight new life members, including five men who have been named for their current on-field work.

Of those who are off-field, Wally Miller will be inducted for his service to Norwood in the SANFL, while John Dugdale has been selected for his service to North Melbourne.

Merv Keane has also been inducted because of his service as a player, coach and recruiter.

Four current players will receive life membership in March, as Sydney's Lance Franklin, Fremantle's David Mundy, Collingwood's Scott Pendlebury and GWS' Heath Shaw have all been inducted.

Finally, umpire Ray Chamberlain has also been listed for his service to the game.
