Carlton star Patrick Cripps has responded to trade rumours suggesting he wants out of the club.

Former Port Adelaide player Kane Cornes reported on Sportsday SA last night that Cripps is keen to return home to Western Australia, with Fremantle the likely destination for the 21-year-old.

But Cripps has told the club’s website the rumours are untrue.

“I actually found it pretty funny when I found out about it,” Cripps said.

“But I can tell you it’s not true.

“I signed a contract extension last year to show I was really happy at the Blues and I know as a club we’re heading in the right direction.”
