Carlton youngster Patrick Cripps has become one of the most promising young stars in the competition and looks set to become future leader at the Blues.

However, it may all come crashing down for Carlton fans, with the 21-year-old reportedly keen to head home to Western Australia, according to former Port Adelaide star, Kane Cornes.

Fremantle is said to be Cripps' likely destination if he does indeed leave Carlton.

However, the ball magnet is contracted to Carlton until the end of the 2019 season and with the Blues likely to be unwilling to part ways with their future star, any move this season appears unlikely.

But Cornes, speaking on Sportsday SA, also revealed that Dockers'star Nat Fyfe could be headed the other way, with Carlton one of three clubs that Fyfe could be at next season.

A deal in which Carlton receive Fyfe in return looms as one of the only trade scenarios the club would possibly entertain for losing Cripps.

St Kilda has also been linked with a big move for Fyfe, with the Saints having plenty of salary cap space available to lure the 2015 Brownlow Medalalist away from the Dockers.
