Northern Knights winger Toby Krasna has risen into top 20 calculations off the back of a strong season at Talent League and National Championships level.
A hard-working player, he gets from contest to contest and offers an air of calmness when he gets the footy, with his precise skill execution making him an ideal player in transition.
Krasna works hard to generate overlap and get handball receives and sees the game well going inside 50, making sound decisions.
Krasna's overall athletic profile is impressive. His speed allows him to burn away from opponents, he has the agility to zig and zag his way through traffic and buy himself time; and his high aerobic base – having finished seventh at the National Combine two-kilometre time trial - enables him to run out games and get from contest to contest.
Krasna also got inside midfield exposure for the Knights where his craft and acceleration from contest was good, but he has some size to add before he is ready for such a role at AFL level.
A hamstring injury stymied the back-end of his season but he had already proven himself as a likely first-rounder.
Carlton had an unsuccessful stab at having the Indigenous talent added to their Academy to get priority access to him, but he will be openly available in this year's pool given he was rezoned and is now part of Collingwood's zone – but was not there long enough to qualify under AFL rules.

Key Quote
“He's a great decision-maker, he supports in defensive 50 and he's a cool head. He did fly under the radar but I think you will see him bolt come draft time.” - Lauren Morecroft
