Melbourne young gun Judd McVee will remain a Demon until at least the end of 2025, signing a two-year contract extension this afternoon.

The 19-year-old is in his second season at the club, debuting in Round 1 this year and going on to play every game since, averaging 14 disposals and 160.4 metres gained per game.

Melbourne List Manager, Tim Lamb, praised the hard-working Demon and his recommitment to the club.

"Judd has shown everyone in the early part of this season that he is a very talented player, who has a really bright future in the game," Lamb said to melbournefc.com.au.

"His rapid development is a credit to his hard work and everyone involved in our Football program.

"It is wonderful to have him committed to us until at least the end of 2025 and we are sure with his terrific work ethic, we will see him continue to improve over this time."

McVee was overlooked in the 2021 NAB AFL Draft, however, was picked up in the Rookie Draft by Melbourne in 2021 at pick No.18.

McVee's contract extension comes in the same week Melbourne announced the signing of Trent Rivers on a long-term deal, making him a Dee until the end of 2027.
