Star Brisbane forward Logan Morris is content at the Lions and has not considered moving to Tasmania according to his player agent, Tim Hazell from Vivid Sports.
With his 2027 contract expiration coinciding with Tasmania's entrance to the competition, there has been inevitable discussion linking the premiership player to the Devils as he will be entering his prime.
"He's been linked. There's been about 40 odd players (linked to) Tassie so it's an interesting one," Hazell told Zero Hanger's Craft of the Draft.
The Devils will have $5 million in the bank for player signing bonuses, which must be used in the first two seasons and will be able to sign up to 18 uncontracted players at other clubs - but no more than one player per list.
"Look, 'Loges' comes out of contract at the end of 2027 so that that sort of stacks up why that interest is there," Hazell said.
"Would you entertain it? We haven't really got there in those conversations. The thing with 'Loges' is his first year was pretty fast. We all know the story of his debut and in his second year he goes back-to-back, so this year it's actually been nice just to take the foot off the gas and just let him really settle without too much stress."
Taken with Pick 31 in the 2023 AFL National Draft, his journey to get to 100 goals and win two premierships in his first two seasons is well told.
Asked directly whether conversations had taken place with Morris about a potential move to Tassie, Hazell pointed to the wider discussions that take place about the future of any players.

"So the whole idea of tacking on (20)27 (to his contract) was just to give him some security and then yeah we'll start to sort of work through what it looks like potentially a bit deeper in the year or next year.
"Not so much Tassie, you're constantly talking to your players are just about the landscape, but not directly Tassie.
"'Loges' is really such a cruisy cat. All he's really thinking about is how can they win this next game? And he's, know it's a cliche and it's a bit of a protected answer, but it's the truth. I was with him the other week and all he really talks about is how he's going to recover and how he's going to get better and who he's coming up against that weekend."
Hazell also manages Fremantle captain Alex Pearce and Richmond's Seth Campbell.

Campbell has consistently straight-batted questions about links to the Devils, and last year signed a contract extension until the end of 2029.
Pearce is also from northern Tassie and is considered the perfect type of player for Tasmania to target as a leader for the foundation years of the footy club.
He will turn 33 in the Devils' first year in the AFL.
"'Sethy', we contracted out. So he's passed the Tassie's entry into the competition. So Sethy's really happy. He's just an electric player. He's a good boy off the field.
"And so he doesn't really sort of think too much forward. He's got great security, a partner, and great mates in Melbourne. So he's pretty settled. And just wanting to get the next win for Richmond, really, is 'Sethy's' focus.
"And then Alex, I've been with Alex since day one, I love just the progression of Alex over his journey. He's just turned into an unbelievable leader.
"He's just a great human on and off the field, playing great footy. He's contracted out to 2027. I suppose the thing with Alex is going to be does he want to keep playing or does he entertain it or does he stay?
"But I know right now and all the conversations I'm having with Alex is just being really focused on being captain of Fremantle."
While injuries have kept him to just 147 games since his debut in 2014, Hazell is confident that he can play beyond next year.
"He's had some injuries over his career, but they've always been sort of really random injuries, not soft tissue, so touch wood, his body's very durable in that sense," Hazell noted.
"I think he'd want to continue to play. But yeah, we've discussed all sorts of things and Alex always comes back to me saying, 'I'm just focused on Freo'. So that's where his head's at and that's what I love about him."
