Geelong project player Cillian Burke is set for is maiden appearance in the blue and white hoops since making the move from Ireland.
Burke joined the Cats in November last year after a promising start to his career with Gaelic football outfit County Kerry - the same side that premiership Cat Mark O'Connor began with.
O'Connor has been a success story for the Cats, having been one of just seven Irish players to play at least 100 V/AFL games.
Former Geelong teammate Zach Tuohy joined O'Connor as a member of Geelong's 2022 premiership team and retired last year after an Irish record 270 V/AFL games.
Countryman Oisin Mullin has played 29 games for the Cats in his three years with the club, including 11 games in 2025.
Burke, 22, is a 192cm talent who will make his club debut on Sunday when Geelong's VFL team host the Gold Coast Suns at Kardinia Park, with Burke one of five inclusions for Mark Corrigan's side.
Burke's speed and agility have been noted as leading traits for the international recruit.
He's expected to line up at half-back for the Cats' state side in a backline with veteran Cam Guthrie and first-year teammate Keighton Matofai-Forbes.
Burke is joined by Jed Bews, Jay Polkinghorne, Ted Clohesy and Wil Rantal as inclusions for the Round 11 clash.
AFL-listed Cats Jack Martin (AFL) and Xavier Ivisic (managed) have made way, as have Nathan Kreuger (injured), Ethan Borys (omitted) and Kobe George (omitted).
Geelong host Gold Coast at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday at 11:05am, with the two clubs' AFL teams to battle at the venue the day prior.
