Greater Western Sydney are understood to be eyeing Western Bulldogs forward Isabel Huntington ahead of this year's AFLW trade window.

The 23-year-old old is understood to be weighing up her future for next season as she currently recuperates from a season-ending ACL injury.

The setback - Huntington's third in her career - is likely to place the 2020 Rising Star winner out of action for the seventh AFLW season, which is expected to begin in August this year.

The injury hasn't halted any incoming interest for the Bulldog's services however, with Womens.afl's Riley Beveridge reporting the Giants are pressing for Huntington's signature ahead of the off-season exchange window.

Greater Western Sydney would need to table a substantial trade package for the All-Australian, but their draft hand this year is set to face setbacks given the introduction to four new expansion sides.

The AFLW draft order is yet to be confirmed for 2022, with the order set to heavily assist incoming clubs Hawthorn, Essendon, Port Adelaide and Sydney.

Given the Giants are an existing club, their interest in Huntington can only come to a fruitful end should a successful trade agreement emerge.

Huntington was taken with the No.1 selection in the 2017 AFLW draft, but has been limited to just 20 matches given her ongoing battle with injury.

Zero Hanger have contacted the Bulldogs and Huntington's management, who have declined to comment.
