Brisbane star forward Logan Morris has signed a two-year extension with the Lions amid heavy interest from around the competition.
Morris has quickly become a player of interest following three superb seasons in the league, resulting in two premierships - potentially a third - and an All-Australian blazer.
The new deal will take the Victorian until the end of 2029, holding off Victorian clubs and Tasmania from making a play, although the latter were informed they wouldn't be in the running.
“I absolutely love being part of this Club, so I'm really excited to be staying,” Morris said.
“The main reason I re-signed is the culture and the group of boys here at the Lions,
“It was an easy decision to stay when every day you get to have fun and be yourself with a pretty special group who can also do deep in finals each year.
“We've obviously been fortunate enough to have some amazing experiences together already, but we're still really hungry and feel like there's plenty more we want to achieve as a team.
“I've had so many people at the Club help me since I was drafted and I feel like I'm continuing to learn and improve every year.
“I'm really excited about where this group is heading and hopefully, I can keep getting better and play my role in helping us have more success.”
The news followed teammate Zac Bailey's eight-year re-signing at the club last week as well as Dayne Zorko's one-season extension.
Morris has played 69 games and has kicked 144 goals, including back-to-back 50-plus goal seasons.
