A pair of improved Magpies have officially been elevated to Collingwood's senior list ahead of the 2024 season.

Medium-sized forward Ash Johnson and pacy rebounding defender Oleg Markov were rewarded for their admirable 2023 efforts on Saturday morning, per a Collingwood club announcement.

Johnson, who signed a fresh two-year Pies deal mid-year, found his way to Olympic Park as a Mid-Season Draftee in 2021, whereas Markov, who played in the Magpies' premiership triumph over Brisbane, earned Collingwood's last list spot late in the pre-season.

The 27-year-old Markov, who is contracted at Olympic Park through to the end of next season, appeared in every Collingwood game last season since debuting in Round 4.

Following a fruitful player movement period during which the Magpies upgraded at the small forward position by adding ex-Docker Lachie Schultz, Collingwood now shifts its attention to the 2023 National Draft, where it presently holds Picks 19, 33, and 80.

This year's count will be held across two nights on November 20 and 21 at Marvel Stadium.
