Former Greater Western Sydney and Collingwood defender Heath Shaw has signed for Victorian club East Keilor for the 2021 season.

Shaw, 35, joins the Essendon District Football League side after an illustrious AFL career with the Giants and Magpies that spanned 325 games.

The premiership Magpie was not offered a list spot at the Giants following the conclusion of the 2020 season, ending a 17-year career in the league.

Shaw made his AFL debut in 2005 and was a prominent figure at the club, playing in Collingwood's 2010 premiership side.

The lethal half-back moved to the Giants ahead of the 2014 season and played 152 games in the orange and charcoal, winning a club best and fairest and two All-Australian selections during his time in the Harbour City.
