GWS utility Conor Stone was delisted by the Giants, with the club confirming he was not offered an AFL contract for 2027.
Stone was drafted with Pick 15 in the 2020 intake and played 30 games across six years, with injuries curtailing his availability.
“Conor has been a valued member of our program over the past six seasons and has always shown a strong commitment to his football, his teammates and the club,” club football boss Jason McCartney said.
“He's shown his versatility across a number of roles and had some strong performances at VFL level, highlighted by being named our VFL Player of the Year in 2024.
“While we've made the decision to move in a different direction, we're grateful for Conor's contribution to the club and wish him all the best for whatever comes next in his football career.”
Stone was named the GIANTS' VFL Player of the Year in 2024 and previously had interest from Essendon.
He could look at exploring that interest as the Bombers have extra rookie spots and are keen to bring in established talent.
Stone joins a quintet of experienced players leaving the club: Toby Greene (Geelong), Kieren Briggs (Richmond), Jesse Hogan (Collingwood), Lachie Whitfield (Carlton) and Jake Stringer (St Kilda).
