Greater Western Sydney have revealed their leadership group for the 2021 season, with forward Toby Greene elevated to vice-captain of the club.

Greene will stand as captain Stephen Coniglio's right-hand-man for this season, while Lachie Whitfield, Josh Kelly and Matt de Boer remaining in their respective roles.

Inaugural captain Phil Davis has rejoined the leadership structure, with midfielder Jacob Hopper also being added to the group.

Speaking to the club's website, Greene expressed his gratitude in being elected as vice-captain of the club.

โ€œItโ€™s an honour to be vice-captain of a club that I love so much and that has given me so much in my life,โ€ Greene said.

โ€œLeadership is something Iโ€™ve worked really hard on developing and itโ€™s an area I want to continue to improve in.

โ€œIโ€™m really proud to support โ€˜Cogsโ€™ as our captain and weโ€™ve got a really strong group that will drive us forward in 2021.โ€

Giants football boss Jason McCartney spoke on the changes to the club's leadership group.

โ€œWeโ€™re really excited where our leaders can take our playing group this season,โ€ McCartney said.

โ€œToby has led our club in the past and is a natural fit to become vice-captain.

โ€œWe welcome Phil back to an official leadership position although heโ€™s never stopped being a strong leader of our club.
