Gold Coast captain Gary Ablett will take part in hist first full intensity training session since the middle of the year.

“Gary has been running really well but we’ve eased his footy in gradually,” Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade told News Corp.

“He did a quarter (of a session), then a third, then a half. He did three-quarters last Thursday and he’ll do it all tomorrow (Monday).”

Ablett injured his knee in round 17, ending his 2015 campaign just four weeks after returning the shoulder injury that kept him for the back half of 2014 and most of 2015.
