Rival clubs are reportedly monitoring Fremantle ruckman Luke Jackson, who could 'have his head turned' and potentially return to Victoria.

Jackson, who is entering his third year with Fremantle, is on a deal with the Dockers through to the end of 2029.

He sought a move back to his home state after three years in the red and blue, with Fremantle parting with a pair of first-round draft selections to attain the East Fremantle product.

The 23-year-old is now understood to be in the sights of clubs from the east coast, with Melbourne included in the causing pack, per 7 News'ย Mitch Cleary.

Amid the Dockers' interest in Demons gun Kysaiah Pickett, another premiership Demon is said to be on the radar of several rival clubs.

"Clubs here in Melbourne have begun planting the seed with Jackson of the belief his head could be turned on a potential trade backflip," Cleary said on Sunday.

"His current contract with the Dockers runs until 2029, but should he entertain a move, the Demons would be his most likely suitor where he has close relationships with premiership teammates and coach Simon Goodwin.

"Jackson's partner, former Australian netballer Kelsey Browne hails from Victoria and has expanding work opportunities on the east coast.

"The Dockers have maintained they won't be trading Jackson but are pursuing Demons forward Kysaiah Pickett, while the Demons will soon look for a long-term replacement for Max Gawn."

Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir was pressed on the report following Sunday's Community Series game against Melbourne, shutting down the suggestion Jackson could leave the club.

"Not a concern. Nothing I've seen of Luke throughout the pre-season has shown me that he wants to leave our club," Longmuir said.

"Someone from the club has spoken to him already and he's reiterated that he doesn't want to go anywhere and he's never been happier."

Jackson has played 97 career games, 46 of which have come with the Dockers after exiting Melbourne, who he won a premiership with in 2021.
