Sydney had its list relatively set, with its main target retaining star and role players.
But after the Swans scandal that rocked the club, uncertainty has rained over the Bloods, as well as the futures of the five involved.
Nick Blakey has been linked to a trade move, while Isaac Heeney and Chad Warner are contracted for next year, but could they be shown the door?
Planning for life without those three has highlighted some positional needs, as well as where Sydney could look to rival clubs for reinforcements.
Harvey Gallagher
A fringe Bulldog can't break into the senior side, but is definitely up to AFL football.
Gallagher played 20 games in 2024, but has only added eight since and remains out of contract beyond this year.
But at his best, he is a hard-running transition midfield-forward, and could slot in nicely into Dean Cox's side.
He's a role player, which Sydney thrives on and will need.
Gallagher has also played on the wing and could be deployed across half back.
