Lynden Dunn has been at the centre of a mini-feud between Collingwood teammate Taylor Adams and Melbourne's Bernie Vince this week, as the two clubs prepare for Monday's Queen's Birthday clash.
Dunn's name was first mentioned last Sunday night after the Pies' win against Fremantle in Perth, as Adams told ABC radio, the defender was enjoying his time at a successful club, suggesting he had previously not played for one before.
Vince was made aware of the comments on Tuesday and hit back at the Collingwood duo, asking media what Dunn had achieved at the Pies so far, and if the club could call themselves successful this season.
On SEN Breakfast on Friday morning, Dunn was given the opportunity to respond to the chatter throughout the week, and said he had his teammate to thank for all the extra publicity.
“I just shook his [Adams'] hand and thanked him for throwing me under the bus,” Dunn told SEN Breakfast.
“It’s been a strange week because I actually haven’t said a word.
“I’ve got Taylor (Adams) and Bernie (Vince) to thank for that.
“I’m definitely happier being at the Pies but I’m not sure I would have explained my time at the Dees the way Taylor did.”
The defender also told the Melbourne radio station he is expected to be sledged by Vince and a number of his former teammates on Monday, but is looking forward to the on-field banter.
