Geelong midfielder Mitch Duncan has signed a long-term extension with the club, that will see him remain a Cat until 2024.

Duncan was set to become a free agent at the end of next season, although the new deal will see him tie down his future.

“The club is delighted to see Mitch commit to the club,” Geelong’s General Manager of Football Simon Lloyd told the club's website.

“Mitch has been a mainstay of our team over 10 seasons, a dependable, intelligent teammate and a quality player.

“Our members and supporters have watched Mitch’s career unfold and we all look forward to it continuing over the next five seasons.”

Duncan has played 203 games for the Cats, since making his debut in 2010, and was a member of their 2011 premiership side.
