Geelong midfielder Mitch Duncan has signed a long-term extension with the club, that will see him remain a Cat until 2024.

Duncan was set to become a free agent at the end of next season, although the new deal will see him tie down his future.

โ€œThe club is delighted to see Mitch commit to the club,โ€ Geelongโ€™s General Manager of Football Simon Lloyd told the club's website.

โ€œMitch has been a mainstay of our team over 10 seasons, a dependable, intelligent teammate and a quality player.

โ€œOur members and supporters have watched Mitchโ€™s career unfold and we all look forward to it continuing over the next five seasons.โ€

Duncan has played 203 games for the Cats, since making his debut in 2010, and was a member of their 2011 premiership side.
