Brisbane and Carlton have engaged in the second confirmed pick swap trade as the Lions look to gain more draft capital to secure gun prospects, Levi Ashcroft and Sam Marshall.
The 2024 premiers traded out its Pick 73 in this year's draft and its 2025 second round to the Blues for selections 34 and 66 in the upcoming National Draft.
In essence, the Lions added 613 points (622 - 9) to its 2024 hand, combining the previous deal with Richmond that saw the club secure 1,701 points.
Paperwork approved.
Carlton trade its 2024 Round 2 selection (currently 34) and 2024 Round 4 selection (currently 66) to Brisbane for its 2024 Round 4 selection (currently 73) and 2025 Round 2 selection in the 2024 and 2025 Telstra AFL Drafts respectively.

Brisbane currently holds 2,460 draft points in total, with picks 32, 34, 42, 43, 45, 60 and 66.
The arrival of Ashcroft and Marshall also comes at a 20 per cent discount, given their links to the Queensland club.
The Lions can also go into a deficit if they need to, with points taken from the following year to balance the ledger.
The Blues have gone backward in this draft but are hopeful of a Brisbane demise next year, which could net the Navy Blues a handy second-round selection in 2025.
