Three-club AFL journeyman Jed Anderson has found a new home for 2024, signing with Southern Districts Football Club in the Northern Territory Football League.

The 29-year-old played 99 games across his league career, donning Hawthorn, North Melbourne, and Gold Coast Suns colours throughout his top-level tenure.

The Suns delisted Anderson at the conclusion of the 2023 campaign, along with retiring midfielder Charlie Constable and forward Brodie McLaughlin.

Southern Districts announced its signing of Anderson via Facebook on Thursday morning, welcoming the hard-nosed ball-winner to the Crocs for the 2024 season.

"SDFC are excited to welcome Jed Anderson, his wife Nicky and family to our club," the Crocs' statement read.

"The Anderson name has a long history with the NTFL. We now look forward to Jed building on that legacy with SDFC.

"After a career with AFL clubs Hawthorn, North Melbourne, and Gold Coast, we are thrilled to have Jed's experience to help guide and shape our next generation of players."

After he was delisted by the Kangaroos at the end of 2022, Anderson joined Gold Coast as a Supplemental Signing Period addition, though he didn't play a senior game for the Suns after being granted indefinite leave from the club in June.

Anderson's most consistent patch of AFL football came during his third season as a Kangaroo in 2018, when he played 21 senior games and established himself as a mainstay in North Melbourne's midfield group.
