Former Adelaide forward Tyler Welsh will line up for the Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL next year after his AFL exit.

Welsh joined the Crows in the SANFL for the 2024 season, before being selected as a father-son draftee at the AFL National Draft later that year at Pick No.59.

He followed in his father's footsteps to West Lakes, where Scott played 129 games and kicked 270 goals for Adelaide from 2000 to 2007.

Welsh never debuted for the AFL side, struggling to bypass Taylor Walker, Riley Thilthorpe and Darcy Fogarty, but showed strong signs in the SANFL.

"The Woodville-West Torrens Football Club is delighted to announce that Tyler Welsh will return to the Eagles for season 2027," the statement read.

"A Centre Of Excellence junior and power forward, Tyler played U16s and U18s footy at our "Club, including being a key member of the 2022 U16s Premiership team."

Welsh isn't the only former Crow lining up for the Eagles in 2027.

Harry Schoenberg signed with Woodville-West Torrens after a brief stint at West Coast, which followed his time at Adelaide.

Schoenberg recently departed West Coast after one season with the Perth powerhouse, playing five games at AFL level and a further 11 for the Eagles' reserves.

The quintet of appearances under Andrew McQualter added to 62 games Schoenberg played for Adelaide between 2020 and 2025 before he was delisted by the Crows 12 months ago.

The midfielder will now head back to his home state to continue his football career, reuniting with Woodville-West Torrens.

Schoenberg and Welsh's signing comes after the SANFL club locked in the signatures of new recruits Rome Burgoyne (Port Adelaide SANFL) and Reeve Simmons (GWS VFL) for next year. The Eagles announced the re-signings of key players James Rowe, Sam Rowland, Ted Clohesy, Ethan Grace, Connor Ballenden and Jordan Moore in recent days.
