Collingwood midfielder Jordan De Goey has plans to be a Pie for life, but has confirmed he and the club haven't opened up talks about extending his contract beyond 2027.

De Goey is in the midst of career-best form, righting the body issues that have plagued him since his monster performance in the 2023 grand final win.

With another 18 months to go on his contract, the Pies on-baller is keen to see out his career in the black and white, but has previously received interest from rival clubs.

"Obviously, that's the plan," De Goey said on SEN.

"I started at the club. I would like to finish at the club. But you know, the footy world is a strange landscape at times. I'll just do my best for what I can for the team, and that's all I can do."

De Goey opened up on where his head is at right now, which is solely focused on playing the best football possible.

"Not that I know about," he added.

"My brother-in-law is my manager, so we speak briefly, but it's honestly not about that right now. It's just (about) playing the best footy I can, which is how I can support the team. What happens after that will happen after that.

"I'm going to continue trying to contribute to the team and play my role and hopefully get some more wins."

De Goey was also quizzed on the club's interest in Brisbane star Lachie Neale, who is tipped to depart the reigning premiers and make a move to Victoria despite family links in Western and South Australia.

"I did see that. I've been seeing that a little bit too, be honest," De Goey said.

"He's a class player. He's done some amazing things at Brisbane. I don't know if he'll enjoy the Melbourne weather, but other than that, I think he'll fit in nicely.

"At the end of the day, players know if they want to come or if they don't. He'd be a great fit, so Lachie, if you're listening, get on down."
