Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley has confirmed star duo Adam Treloar and Jordan De Goey will line up for the Magpies against Gold Coast on Monday.

Buckley revealed in a press conference on Saturday that the pair would make the side after battling ongoing injuries.

"Weā€™ll have a run around this evening at match time. The conditions up here at that time are unique. We have our VFL squad having a hit-out this afternoon, so tonight will be our selected side only. Jordy and Ads will be with that group and play on Monday," he said.

"The finger is right to go. Thereā€™s a little risk, but the surgeon was happy to get back to contact work and playing," Buckley said on De Goey.

Buckley added that star defender Jeremy Howe will unlikely feature for the club this season.

"Weā€™ve never said never with Howie. The likelihood is that heā€™ll struggle to get up this season. Heā€™s an elite player and has plenty of football left in him."

The Magpies will need a win against the Suns on Monday to almost guarantee their top-eight placing, with Collingwood facing ladder leaders Port Adelaide in round 18.
