Collingwood and Geelong are reportedly no closer to sorting a deal to see young Pie Ollie Henry head down the highway to the Cats.

Henry managed 15 games for the Pies in 2022, averaging 8.1 disposals, after ten games in his debut 2021 season.

With brother Jack playing at the Cats, the Geelong native is reportedly keen to head back home in search of better opportunity after just two seasons in black and white, but may not see a deal done this trade period.

Speaking on SEN Breakfast, Sam Edmund gave an update on the young Pie, admitting that the two parties were yet to reach a suitable deal.

“The one I worry about is Ollie Henry from Collingwood to Geelong," Edmund said.

Collingwood clearly wants more, they want a first-round pick, Geelong are now out to (pick) 25, they would like to think that's enough, I don't think it is.

“They might get seven in for the Bowes deal, but the Cats at this stage are saying, ‘We don't want to split pick seven, we want to take it to the draft'.

“I'm not sure unless Collingwood does a massive backflip how the Ollie Henry deal gets done.”

Geelong have already traded out Pick 18 to GWS in exchange for Tanner Bruhn, leaving Pick 7, received as part of a Jack Bowes deal, as their only expected first-round pick for 2022.
